Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jack Henderson #20522 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pace Carries Runner Through Boulder Half Jack Henderson finished the half marathon in 1:51:37, averaging 8:31 per mile. His mile splits held in a tight band from 8:19 to 8:49 for the entire distance, with almost no drift between the early and late miles a pattern of even effort rather than a fade or a surge. His strongest mile came at the finish, mile 13, covered in 8:19, the fastest of his race. That closing effort brought him down the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, the finish line shared by every distance in the event. Running that final mile faster than his overall average, at an elevation over 5,000 feet, reflects well-managed pacing from start to finish.
