Strong Early Pace Fuels Top 10% Finish Brian Newman crossed the line in 1:48:12, good for 678th overall and 501st among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon a finish inside the top 10% overall. His race showed a fast, controlled start that gradually eased over the back half, with the final miles giving back some of that early cushion. Miles 3 and 4 were his strongest full-mile stretch, clicking off in 7:40 and 7:32 as he built his largest time cushion of the day. That pace held firm through the midpoint before easing past the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, where his mile split slipped to 8:09. From there, the pace gradually eased through the final miles at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet, a fitting test after such a quick opening third.
