Strong Start Carries Steady Half-Marathon Finish Hannah Sakaluk finished the half marathon in 1:33:54, placing 199th overall and 36th among women in a field of 7,223. Her race opened fast, with miles 16 clicking off between 6:40 and 6:53 per mile, settling her cumulative pace near 6:48/mile through the first 10K. From there, pace eased slightly through the second half, finishing with an overall elapsed pace of 7:10/mile. Sakaluk's opening six miles stood out as the strongest stretch of her race, holding sub-6:55 pace before the back half gradually settled into the low 7:30s. That finish came on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting over 5,000 feet of elevation, and on a half marathon course whose 2026 redesign trimmed net elevation gain by nearly 50 percent.
