Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jessie Kinzeler #41676 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Solid 5K Finish Jessie Kinzeler ran 25:11 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, an 8:07 per mile pace across the distance. Her race built through a strong middle mile: after an opening mile of 8:16, Kinzeler surged to 6:49 for mile two her fastest mile of the race before settling to 9:13 over the closing mile to the finish. That middle-mile push was the clear highlight of her outing, showing a burst of speed at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet. Kinzeler might look to carry that mile-two rhythm deeper into the race next time, distributing effort a bit more evenly to protect against the late fade. Overall, a well-managed 5K with a standout gear shift at its center.
