Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Christine Benedetti #26389 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Front-Half Pace Anchors a Top Finish Christine Benedetti crossed the line in 1:33:03, placing 184th overall out of the field of 7,223 and 2nd in the F40-44 division. Her race showed a clear shape: the first six miles clicked off between 6:50 and 6:54 per mile, the fastest sustained stretch of her day, before easing into the 7:00-7:30 range over the back half. That opening six-mile stretch, covered in 41:12, was the clear highlight steady, controlled, and never wavering by more than a couple seconds per mile. Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, a backdrop worth noting given the consistency she held throughout. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced effort that held strong through the final miles rather than fading.
