Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Robert Lee #40660 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Finish Caps a Well-Paced 5K Robert Lee, 56, of Boulder, finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 26:12, an average pace of 8:27 per mile. Lee's race opened with an 8:31 first mile before he surged to a 7:32 second mile, his fastest of the race. The final mile settled back to 9:21, closing out a race run at altitude, with Boulder sitting more than 5,000 feet above sea level. Given that strong middle-mile push, Lee might consider working on sustaining that pace through the closing stretch in future races.
