Strong Start Fades Late as Pace Climbs Over Final 10K Lindsay Fox finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:55:16, placing 313th overall and 62nd among women in a field of 3,305. That's a step back from her 2025 finish of 3:46:53, when she ran a more even 8:39/mile pace throughout. Fox opened fast, clicking off her first seven miles between 7:23 and 7:48 per mile the strongest stretch of her race before a steady climb in pace set in from mile 14 onward. By mile 21, her per-mile splits had slowed past 11 minutes, and the closing miles settled near 12:00 pace before a final push brought her home. This year's course carried less climbing than in years past, with net elevation gain trimmed from 982 to 603 feet, a change that met her at Boulder's mile-high altitude all the same.
