Steady Start Gives Way to a Hard-Earned Finish Kelly Mcloughlin completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 38:47. Her opening mile was her fastest at 10:26, before pace eased across the second and third miles, finishing with a 14:22 closing mile. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, sits behind every finish on this course, including the final stretch onto the Pearl Street Mall. With her first mile as the clear high point of the race, Kelly may find that working on maintaining that early rhythm deeper into future 5Ks pays off.
