Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Margaret Teyema #41178 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Margaret Teyema completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:37, covering the final mile in 11:18 to close out a run defined by an early push. After a 10:41 opening mile, she surged to a 9:25 second mile, her fastest of the race, before easing back over the closing stretch. That middle-mile burst stood out against the sea-level norm, coming at altitude with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, where every mile carries a bit more effort than it looks on paper. Holding that pace through the finish could be a focus for her next 5K.
