Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Nigsti Molla Hagos #140008 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Dominant Wire-to-Wire Women's 5K Victory Nigsti Molla Hagos crossed the line in 15:26, finishing 10th overall and 1st among women and in her age division at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. Hagos opened with a 4:50 first mile before surging to a 4:25 second mile the fastest mile of her race before settling into a 5:43 closing mile to seal the win. Her early pace put her among the race's overall leaders from the start, and she never relinquished the women's lead across the 5K distance. With altitude in Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, her pacing pattern showed a strong front half; runners looking to build on this could consider evening the effort between the second and third miles to sustain that early speed through the finish.
