Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Noah Gueldner #41321 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Second Mile Powers Solid 5K Finish Noah Gueldner covered the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 26:52, an 8:40 average mile pace. His race built from a steady opening mile in 8:21, surged into a strong second mile at 7:25, then eased to 10:14 over the closing stretch as he approached the finish. That middle mile stood out as his fastest of the race, showing a clear ability to shift gears mid-course. Given the pattern, holding closer to that second-mile rhythm through the final stretch could yield an even stronger overall time next time out. Racing at over 5,000 feet in Boulder adds a layer of difficulty to any pace, and Gueldner's ability to still hit a sub-7:30 mile reflects well on his fitness. Like all Boulderthon distances, his race ended on the historic Pearl Street Mall, a fitting finish in a city recognized by National Geographic as the Happiest City in America.
