Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Litzze Quintero #40848 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Litzze Quintero covered the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 34:52. She opened conservatively with an 11:38 first mile, then surged to a 9:39 second mile the fastest stretch of her race before easing to a 12:22 closing mile. That middle-mile push marked a clear high point in an otherwise measured effort, showing a runner willing to find another gear once warmed up. Racing at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, adds a layer of difficulty to any pacing plan, and Quintero's mid-race acceleration stands out against that backdrop. Like all Boulderthon distances, her race finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race defined by a strong surge through its second mile.
