Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Amanda Walsh #40672 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Anchors a Steady 5K Amanda Walsh completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:04, an average pace of 9:22 per mile. Walsh's race unfolded in three distinct phases: an opening mile of 9:09, a strong surge to 8:10 through the second mile, and a final mile that eased to 10:53. That middle mile stood out as her fastest of the race, showing a solid ability to build speed once settled in. The closing mile pulled her overall pace back up slightly, an area she could look to smooth out in future starts. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet adds context to the effort, and Walsh's race concluded with the field crossing the finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
