Strong Pacing Carries Her to a Top-Tier Marathon Finish Rachael Woodruff finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:09:29, placing 27th overall and 5th among women in a field of 3,305. Her race built steadily through the first 20 miles, holding a cumulative pace between 6:39 and 7:06 per mile, before easing through miles 21-24 as the pace settled into the high 7:00s to low 8:00s. She closed with a strong rally over the final two miles, dropping back to 6:59 and 7:18 to secure her placement. Her fastest sustained stretch came in miles 1 through 5, covered at a 6:47 per mile pace. That effort came on a 2026 course redesigned to cut net elevation gain by roughly 40 percent, from 982 to 603 feet, before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, itself over 5,000 feet above sea level.
