Strong Late Kick Powers Steady Half Marathon Finish Weston Cronk completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:41:59, an average pace of 7:47 per mile. Cronk ran evenly through the first six miles, holding between 7:54 and 7:58 per mile, before a brief dip to 8:16 in mile seven. He responded by rebuilding his rhythm over miles eight through eleven, then accelerated notably over the final two miles, splitting 7:19 and 7:13 to close the race his fastest stretch of the day. That finishing surge, covering the last several miles at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet above sea level, capped a race that trended faster as it progressed. With his final miles run near the courses later stretches toward the Pearl Street Mall, Cronks closing kick stood out as the clear highlight of an otherwise consistent, well-paced effort.
