Steady Middle Mile Powers a Faster 5K Than Last Year Tanveer Makker finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 53:01, improving on her 2025 result of 59:28 but finishing behind her 2024 time of 44:18. Her race built through a strong second mile15:11, the fastest stretch of her daybefore easing back over the closing mile to the finish. Makker's race unfolded in three distinct phases: a solid opening mile at 16:57, a quicker push through mile two, and a final mile that settled into a steadier rhythm. That middle-mile surge stood out as the highlight of her run, showing her strongest sustained effort of the course. She capped things off with a finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a race that showed clear improvement from last year's edition.
