Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Aria Makker #41644 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Seven-Year-Old Shaves Over Six Minutes Off Her 5K Aria Makker finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 53:01, a solid improvement on her 2025 time of 59:29 on the same course. Her pace moved unevenly across the three miles: a 17:11 opening mile, a strong second mile at 15:49, and a third mile that slowed to 18:09. That middle mile stood out as her fastest stretch of the race, showing a clear surge in the race's second third before the pace eased back in the closing mile. Racing in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, at just seven years old, Makker's steady improvement year over year is a promising sign for her development as a young runner.
