Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Brehnden Daly #41261 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Fuels a Top-Tier 5K Finish Brehnden Daly crossed the line in 23:34, good for 171st overall and 133rd among men in a field of 2,677 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. That result placed him inside the top 10% of the entire field, a strong showing for the 29-year-old from Centennial. His race built momentum through the middle of the course: after opening in 7:44, he surged to a 6:46 second mile, his fastest stretch of the day, before easing to 8:11 over the closing mile. That middle-mile push came at elevation, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, making the pace all the more notable. Given how well that second mile carried his overall time, Daly may find value in working on sustaining that same rhythm through the final stretch in future races.
