Strong Middle Mile Fuels Top-10% Finish Scott Seymour crossed the line in 23:30, good for 161st overall and 124th among men in a field of 2,677 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. Seymour's race built steadily through the middle before tapering late. He opened in 7:23, then surged to a 6:48 second mile his fastest stretch of the race before easing to 8:38 over the closing mile. That middle-mile push was the clear highlight, dropping his cumulative pace to 7:05 min/mile at the two-mile mark. Running through downtown Boulder, sitting over 5,000 feet in elevation, Seymour's early pacing gave him a cushion that carried him to a solid overall placement, even as the final mile cost him a bit of that momentum.
