Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Manuel Rodriguez #41229 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the 5K Manuel Rodriguez finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:52, an average pace of 10:17 per mile. The race unfolded as a steady fade: he opened with an 8:35 first mile, his fastest of the day, then eased to 9:30 for a 9:02 cumulative pace at the two-mile mark, before closing with a 12:40 final split that pushed his overall pace to 10:17. That opening mile stands out as the highlight of his race, run well under his final average and showing his quickest turnover before the pace settled in the closing stretch. Running at altitude in Boulder, which sits above 5,000 feet, adds context to any Boulderthon effort. Manuel might consider a more even split strategy in future 5Ks to carry that early speed further into the race.
