Strong Finishing Kick Seals a Steady Half Katie Kennedy finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:45:27, placing 560th overall and 138th among women in a field of 7,223. Her pacing stayed remarkably even through the first eleven miles, hovering between 7:54 and 8:22 per mile, before she found another gear late in the race. Miles 12 and 13 were her fastest of the day, clocking 7:40 and 7:37 respectively as she pushed toward downtown Boulder. That closing surge capped a well-controlled effort where cumulative pace never drifted far from 8:05 per mile. The course, run at over 5,000 feet of elevation with the 2026 route trimming net gain to 203 feet, took runners past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall.
