Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Emily Stoner #40563 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Overall Finish Highlighted by a Blistering Second Mile Emily Stoner finished 99th overall out of 2,677 in the field and 25th among women in the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, crossing in 21:12. She also placed second in the F 35-39 division. Stoner opened with a 6:38 first mile, then surged to a 5:55 second mile the fastest stretch of her race before settling into a 7:54 close, still enough to secure her overall pace of 6:50 per mile. That middle mile was the clear highlight of her race, and holding closer to that pace across the final stretch could be a worthwhile target for future 5Ks. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, adds context to the effort behind that early speed.
