Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jaime Trejo #32619 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fuels Top-50 Finish Jaime Trejo crossed in 42:42, good for 42nd overall and 29th among men in a field of 3,071 at the 2026 Boulderthon 10K. The opening three miles were the highlight, clicking off in 6:20, 6:23 and 6:30 a sustained sub-6:30 stretch that put him inside the top 30 overall at the 3-mile mark. The pace eased over the back half, with miles four and five settling near 7:00 and the final mile easing to 8:02, before he closed things out on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Given the elevation at over 5,000 feet, that early rhythm stands as the day's strongest work, and finding a touch more consistency in the closing miles could be a worthwhile focus for his next 10K.
