Strong Late Surge Powers Final 10K Miles Nicholas Turrin completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:04:09. His early pace settled in the 10:3711:09 range through the first three miles before he found his rhythm, dropping to 10:23, then 9:27 his fastest mile of the race before closing with a 9:55 final mile. That late kick pulled his cumulative pace down from over 10:50/mile at the halfway point to 10:23/mile by the finish. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Turrin's steady climb in pace over the back half made for one of the stronger closing stretches on record for his effort. Runners in this event finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting cap to a race that got progressively faster mile over mile.
