Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Pavel Dzekhtsiarevich #30628 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Miles Through Downtown Boulder Pavel Dzekhtsiarevich, 40, of Lafayette, CO, finished the 10K in 1:02:17, an average pace of 10:02 per mile. His race unfolded in waves quick opening miles near 9:45, a dip past the 10:20 mark through miles three and four, then a rebound to 9:37 for mile five before the pace eased again to close things out. That fifth mile stood out as his fastest of the day, a solid surge after the middle-mile slowdown. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting over 5,000 feet, Pavel's ability to hold sub-10:00 pace across four of his six miles reflects consistent effort. If there's one place to look for a touch more evenness next time, it's smoothing the transition between miles three and four, where the pace cost him the most time relative to his stronger stretches.
