Strong Start Carries Boulder Runner Through a Steady Half Marathon Caitlin Mckimmy, 38, of Boulder, finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:48:16, averaging 8:15 per mile. Mckimmy opened fast, covering the first six miles in roughly 7:36-7:40 pace, with her quickest mile coming in the opening mile at 7:41. The middle miles saw a gradual easing, with pace settling into the 8:40-9:00 range through miles 8 through 10. She rallied over the closing miles, picking back up to 8:33 and 8:29 paces to close out the race, finishing with a steady final push into downtown Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall.
