Strong Middle Mile Anchors a Steady 5K Finish Skylar Goodnight completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:49, an average pace of 10:35 per mile. The Boulder 19-year-old opened with a 10:37 first mile before surging to a 9:09 second mile, her fastest stretch of the race, then eased to 11:58 over the closing mile to the finish. Goodnight's race took shape as a classic build-and-fade: a controlled start, a strong middle push, and a settling pace to close. That second-mile effort stood out as the highlight of her day. Finishing in downtown Boulder, she completed her race at over 5,000 feet of elevation, adding a natural challenge to every stride through the Pearl Street Mall finish.
