Strong Start, Steady Finish at Altitude Sophia Kroll completed the 10K in 56:02, averaging 9:02 per mile. Her race built early speed, dropping from a 9:01 opening mile to an 8:44 second mile, then held in the high 8:00s through the middle miles before a brief dip to 9:10 in mile four. She rebounded with her fastest mile of the day, an 8:33 fifth mile, before easing to a 9:47 closing mile. That fifth-mile surge stood out as the strongest one-mile stretch of her race, showing a solid finishing push before the final mile. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, Kroll closed out her race on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, capping a well-paced overall effort.
