Strong Early Pace Fades Late in Steady Half Marathon Finish Jordan Zlotoff crossed the line in 1:46:59, holding between 7:51 and 8:15 per mile through the first ten miles before easing over the closing miles. His fastest mile came at mile 9, a 7:37 split that marked his best full-mile stretch of the race. The final three miles slowed to 8:45, 8:34, and 9:07, a gradual fade after a consistently even opening two-thirds. That strong ninth mile carried him toward the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, arriving there on his best pace of the day. Racing at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet, his opening miles in the high 7:50s set a firm foundation for the effort.
