Steady Pace Carries Half Marathon Debut Strong to the Mall Jaxon Cione finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:51:01, an 8:28 min/mile pace across the 13.1-mile course through Louisville's neighboring city of Boulder. Cione opened with his fastest mile of the day, a 7:55 first mile, then settled into a consistent middle stretch through miles 4-9 in the 8:20-8:53 range. His strongest sustained mile-plus stretch came late: miles 12-13 clocked 8:01 and 8:05, a solid closing kick that pulled his cumulative pace back down to 8:28 min/mile at the finish, matching his fastest point through the race. That closing surge, after the mid-race dip, reflects well-managed effort over the back half of the course.
