Steady Pace Powers a Strong Half-Marathon Finish Taylor Finch finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:51:40, an 8:31 min/mile average pace across the 13.1-mile course. Her race unfolded in two distinct phases: a brief dip through mile three (9:35) and mile eight (8:56), followed by a strong closing stretch from mile eleven to the finish, where she held between 8:19 and 8:21 min/mile - her most consistent effort of the day. That late surge came right around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, and carried her home on the Pearl Street Mall. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, and this year's reworked half course cutting net elevation gain to 203 feet, her ability to close strong rather than fade is worth building on for future races.
