Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Aidan Henegar #41638 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Propels Top-Tier 5K Finish Aidan Henegar crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 24:20, placing 211th overall and 157th among men out of the field of 2,677 a top-10% result. His race built in two distinct phases: an opening mile at 7:42, then a strong second mile at 7:02, his fastest of the day, before easing to 8:46 over the closing stretch. That middle mile stands out as the clear high point, showing a runner willing to push the pace once settled in. With Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, holding sub-8:00 pace through two of three miles reflects well on his fitness. A touch more evenness between the second and third miles could smooth out the finish next time, though the overall effort was well within the race's upper tier.
