Strong Front Half Fuels Solid Marathon Finish Storm Armstrong crossed the line in 3:55:04, good for 311th overall and 248th among men in a field of 3,305 at the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon. That marks a step up from his half-marathon showing at the same race in 2025, where he finished in 4:00:41. Across the marathon, his cumulative pace held in the 7:30s through mile six before gradually easing past the 8:00 mark by mile 13, settling near 9:00 min/mile by the finish as fatigue set in through the back stretch. His first six miles stood out, holding a tight 7:297:46 per-mile pace to build an early cushion. The stretch from mile 20 to 23 slowed to the 10:2311:46 range as the course wound through Boulder's backroads near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 22.5, but he rallied over the final three miles, dropping back to 8:41 by the finish on the Pearl Street Mall a strong close at over 5,000 feet of altitude.
