Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Miguel Toledo #41646 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the 5K Miguel Toledo covered the 5K in 30:29. His opening mile was his fastest at 7:58, and he held near that rhythm through two miles at an 8:17 cumulative pace before the final mile slowed to 11:31, pulling his overall pace to 9:50 min/mile by the finish. Racing at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet, that early pace stood out as the highlight of his day. With the front two miles well in hand, a touch more of that same effort held to the line could bring the overall time down further next time.
