Steady Pace Anchors a Solid 10K Finish Kris Brose completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 59:14, placing 7th in the F 45-49 division. Her opening miles were remarkably consistent, clocking 9:19 and 9:17 for the first two miles, before a slight dip through miles three and four. She rebounded well, posting her fastest mile of the race in mile five at 8:49, before easing up over the final stretch to the finish. Brose's race demonstrated a strong ability to recover pace after a mid-race slowdown, particularly evident in that fifth mile surge. Finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall, she joined the field in a race that, at over 5,000 feet of elevation, added its own layer of difficulty to the effort. A slightly stronger close could further sharpen her overall time in future editions.
