Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Daniel Galvez #31251 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in Steady 10K Effort Daniel Galvez completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 53:20, an 8:36 per-mile pace across the 6.2-mile course. His race opened quickly, with a 7:49 split in mile two marking his fastest mile of the day, and his cumulative pace held near 8:05-8:20 through the middle miles. The final miles saw a gradual softening, with the pace easing to 9:55 for mile six, a natural spot to consider steadier effort distribution in future races. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, offers useful context for any runner tackling the course. Given the strong early pace, Daniel has a solid foundation to build on for future 10K efforts in Boulder.
