Strong Middle Mile Fuels a Solid 5K Finish Jaya Seshadri, 12, of Boulder, completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:57. Her race unfolded in three distinct stretches: an opening mile at 10:09, a strong second mile at 8:56, and a final mile that eased to 11:57 as she brought it home through downtown Boulder. That second mile stands out as the fastest of her race, showing a clear surge in the middle portion of the course before settling into the finish. With no prior Boulderthon results on record, this outing offers a strong baseline. Given the pacing pattern, Jaya might consider building a steadier effort through the final mile to preserve more of that early momentum a small adjustment that could sharpen an already solid overall performance in Boulder, sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
