Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Rabecka Flett covered the 5K in 31:45, an average pace of 10:14 per mile, finishing 765th overall out of the field of 2,677 and 303rd among women. Flett opened with a 10:01 first mile, then surged to her fastest mile of the race at 8:56, before easing to an 11:37 close. That middle-mile push stands out as the strongest stretch of her race. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the pace shift shows solid pacing awareness worth building on for future 5Ks.
