Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Elijah Adams #40339 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Carries Denver Runner Through a Solid 5K Elijah Adams covered the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 21:40, finishing 10th in the Men's 20-24 division. His race showed a fast front half, moving through the first two miles in a combined 13:17 a 6:38 per-mile pace before easing to a 20:56 mark through three miles as the final mile added time to his overall pace. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Adams built an early cushion that held up well by the finish. His opening two miles stand out as the strongest stretch of the day, and with that pace as a baseline, he could look to carry more of that rhythm into the closing mile next time. He crossed the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder to cap the race.
