Strong Start Carries Her to a Third-Place Age-Group Finish Tara Carson finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 55:01, placing third in the F 45-49 division. Her opening mile was her fastest of the race at 7:55, and she banked significant time through the first three miles before the pace eased over the back half. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Carson built an early cushion that held up well by the finish. With her division place secure by mile three, there may be room to experiment with a more even split next time out, holding closer to that opening rhythm through the middle miles before the final push into downtown Boulder.
