Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Aidan Reed #120052 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Runner-Up Finish in a Steady Sub-5 Pace Effort Aidan Reed crossed the line in 1:04:46, finishing 2nd overall and 2nd in his gender and division out of the field of 7,223. His pacing stayed remarkably even throughout, hovering between 4:56 and 4:59 min/mile for nearly the entire race, a mark of strong, controlled effort from start to finish. The strongest stretch came late, as Reed clicked off miles 10 through 13 in under 5:00 each, including a 4:45 split at mile 12 his fastest mile of the race. That late surge helped him hold position through the closing miles on a course that finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a city sitting more than 5,000 feet above sea level.
