Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Harriet Christensen #41460 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Harriet Christensen finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 44:58. Her pace picked up from 14:13 in the first mile to 13:46 in the second before easing to 15:32 over the closing stretch, a shape that shows a strong middle push followed by a natural settling near the finish. That second mile stands as her fastest of the race, and building the final mile with similar rhythm could be a worthwhile focus for next time. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds weight to any pace on race day. Christensen's 5K wrapped with a finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced effort.
