Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jazmin Juarez #32823 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Faster Finish Marks Strong Improvement Jazmin Juarez ran 50:56 in the 10K, improving on her 52:40 from the same distance in 2025. That gain came from a strong start she carried into the middle miles rather than the finish. Her opening three miles were the highlight, clicking off in 7:11, 7:31, and 8:09 for a combined pace near 7:36 per mile, before elapsed pace settled to 8:12 by the finish as the later miles slowed. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Juarez placed 9th in her 30-34 age division. The steady early pace built a cushion that held up despite the late fade, reflecting a race plan built on a confident, controlled start.
