Sub-1:22 Effort Delivers a Podium-Range Half Marathon Finish Caleb Karpay finished the half marathon in 1:21:50, placing 47th overall and 40th among men in a field of 7,223 good for 2nd in the M40-44 division. That result marks his fastest Boulderthon half marathon, improving on 1:25:30 in 2024 and 1:25:27 in 2023. Karpay ran a remarkably even race, holding between 6:11 and 6:27 pace through every mile before closing with his strongest mile, a 5:56 split at mile 12 his fastest full mile of the day. That late surge helped him finish with an overall pace of 6:14 per mile, nearly identical to his mile-one pace of 6:03, showing strong control across the distance. Running the race at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet adds context to the consistency of that effort.
