Strong Early Pace Carries Marathon Debut Deep Into the Top 10% Madi Clark crossed the marathon finish in 3:51:10, placing 254th overall and 45th among women in a field of 3,305. She settled into a steady rhythm through the first 13 miles, holding between 8:20 and 8:40 per mile, before a late-race stretch from miles 20 through 24 slowed into the 9:3010:30 range, still closing strong to finish at an 8:49 overall pace. Her standout mile came at mile 11, clocked in 7:36 the fastest mile of her race, coming right before the halfway mark. Boulders elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds context to a marathon effort like this one, run out toward Boulder Reservoir and county backroads before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall.
