Steady Early Pace Gives Way to a Strong Closing Mile Vitaly Stankevich finished the 2026 Boulderthon Marathon in 3:47:28, placing 217th overall and 181st among men, within the top 10% of the field. That mark trails his 2025 Boulderthon result of 3:16:38, when he ran nearly a minute-per-mile faster and placed 81st overall. Stankevich's race unfolded in two distinct phases. Through the first 17 miles, he held a tight, consistent band between 8:13 and 8:35 per mile, building a solid foundation. A rough patch around mile 18 slowed his cumulative pace, and miles 21-23 softened further into the 8:50-9:29 range. He answered with his fastest mile of the day over the final stretch, closing in 8:21 as he came into downtown Boulder toward the finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall - a strong way to end after the mid-race dip.
