Strong Early Pace Fades Late But Holds for a Top-10% Finish Brandon Stapanowich crossed the line in 1:47:29, good for 641st overall and 474th among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. He opened briskly, covering the first four miles in just over 28 minutes at roughly 7:06 per mile, then eased through the middle miles before finishing at an 8:12 overall pace. That opening stretch stands out as his fastest of the day, with cumulative pace holding near 7:00-7:10 through mile five before gradually settling into the high sevens and eights over the closing miles. Crossing at over 5,000 feet of altitude, he pushed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5 before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
