Steady Pace Anchored by a Strong Fifth Mile Teri Timm covered the 10K in 1:33:31, an overall elapsed pace of 15:05 per mile. Her pacing held in a tight band across the race, drifting between roughly 14:51 and 15:53 per mile through the first four miles before she found her rhythm. The standout stretch came in mile five, clocked at 13:32, the fastest mile of her race and a clear surge before the field tightened toward the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Timm's ability to accelerate that late in a 10K stands out as the highlight of her effort. With a final mile back near 15:48, there may be room to work on sustaining that mid-race speed a bit longer next time out.
