Strong Start with Consistent Pace Elsie Thacker showcased a solid performance in the 2026 Deseret News Marathon 10K event. Despite the slight pace decline to 6:11 in the second mile, Elsie maintained a competitive position. As the race progressed, Elsie demonstrated consistent effort with split times gradually increasing. She completed the 10K with an elapsed time of 41:46, achieving an average pace of 6:44 min/mile. Although her place in the division shifted, she ended with a commendable 10th place in the F15-18 category and 34th in her gender.
