Consistent Speed, Strong Finish McKay Larsen maintained strong, consistent pacing throughout the 26.2-mile race, finishing with an elapsed time of 2:42:43 and an average pace of 6:12 min/mile. Highlighting his race performance, he secured first place in 24 of the 26 splits and achieved notable pacing improvements. Notably, his 11th split clocked in at an impressive 5:33 min/mile, marking his fastest mile. Towards the end of the race, in splits 23 through 25, the pace slightly decelerated to 6:31-6:55 min/mile. Returning to a 6:53 min/mile pace, McKay closed strong, reclaiming his position. McKay demonstrated effective pacing strategy throughout, alternating between faster and slightly slower miles, which contributed to his overall success.
